That looks delish! I’ll have to copy it and give it a try! Thank you!

      • This looks good wonder if I could use a natural substitute for the food coloring.

        • Raye Wiedner says

Elicia, there are a lot of natural and organic food colorings on the market. I really like India Tree products, but you can google natural food colorings and I’m sure you’d find many other brands to buy online.
You can also make your own and I’m pretty sure you could find those recipes too. I know boiling spinach will give you very pretty green water. You may have to thin it down a bit to make sure it doesn’t carry the taste, but once mixed with sugar, you can’t tell.
Have fun exploring options, hope you find one you like.

This is the link to the cupcakes I’ll be making. I intend to use fruit rollups to make rainbows over them, root beer barrel candy will bethe pots of gold, with icing dots as the gold. I’m making a ‘dragon’ cake that will be ‘guarding’ all the cupcakes. My grandie’s birthday is St. Patrick’s Day as well, so this is going to be his birthday cake for the family party.

Yum… A mint flavored liquor I might try this lol

          • Your title reminds me of the drink Grasshopper. I was a bartender for years and made this drink four times in my 10 year career. Funny, thing the four drinks went to the same two people. So simple

You can have it frozen or just as it.

            1oz creme de menth
            1oz creme de cacoa
if you want frozen here is where you would use vanilla ice cream and then blend
if on the rocks then add cream

You can also make this into a martini but shaking it and then pouring into a martini glass.

So I guess I do have a St Patty’s recipe!

          • Carol Yemola says

YUMMY! Nothing like a little creme de menth and cacoa to make my day better!

    • Raye Wiedner says

I love quilts. I have one that was made by a patient that passed away. Her family gave it to me to remember her by, and I seriously think of her every time I use it. I have one from my grandmother, and one from my hubby’s grandmother. I have another that his grandmother made for him when he was a baby, I’m seriously considering quilting it into a full sized one. To me, a quilt just feels comforting and homey.

      • CoffeeTime says

        Raye,
That brings to my memory the real Quilts that were made by my grandmothers by hand!
        My mom still has them.
One of my grandmas made one quilt for each of us girls in the family. They are thick, heavy and warm.
That is something they would give as a wedding present. I got mine when I was still at school. But it is a memory I cherish in my heart.

    • michelle passwaters says

I’m not sure what kind of quilt you call it but I have always wanted one of those quilts they sell at cracker barrel they are soooo soft and warm and the patterns are beautiful we eat there every Sunday and I admire them every time they are just out of my budget, ur quilt looks pretty much identical to it.

      • CoffeeTime says

        Michelle,
These quilts are thin and very well made. I tested some of them from BrylaneHome and am very satisfied with those that I’ve got to try.
        They are quality made.

I am very picky what goes into my bedroom when it comes to bedding. I really love simple things but very well made. I’d rather pay more and would enjoy it every day. My spirit rises when I see something that I love!

      • Raye Wiedner says

Michelle, check out the Brylane Home site. Their prices are pretty surprising and you’ll find sales and promo codes a lot that make it even better! I think comparing them to Cracker Barrel prices, you’ll be very pleased.

      • Michelle,
when I find something I love at a store that is not in my budget I check out who makes it and then head to the internet. I can always find it much cheaper that way.

    • Karen Hinkle says

oh yes love them that would be great nice warm and comfy ones

    • Quilts are nice but I am not a floral fan when it comes to them. I like the solid color pattern one.

    • julie ferguson gould says

I so Love Quilts. Yes this one is just gorgeous I love the edging at the bottom……….I have always liked quilts since I was a little girl. My Grandma used to make them. I still have a few that she had made many many moons ago 🙂

    • Rebecca Swenor says

Yes it is so gorgeous. That would be awesome. 🙂

    • I love quilts one day I will make them lol and I love putting one on my couch for those cold days 🙂

Good Morning to ALL! Hope the sun is shining down on everyone today!

I Prefer solids, or a mix of nuetral colors, that way no matter who’s bed it is on, I.E. Boys, Girls, we can interchange if needed. Now if it is just for my bed, then i would choose a lighter colored pattern to match my decor. I Love the old fashioned prints, reminds me of what grandma would have made!
