Shopping Tips for Trader Joe’s Customers in New Year #AMCoffee

Importance of Sleep

If you live nearby Trader Joe’s, then you know how busy these stores can be. These stores are known for a low-point price tags on everything they carry. It’s kind of an upscale discount store. No, I would not compare it with Walmart!!!

Trader Joe’s carries better quality and variety of foods than all those cheap discount stores. So, we decided to summarize some of the benefits of shopping at this store. As well as point out some things that could be a ‘wow, really’ discovery for you.

Just to start with a couple of things that you may recognize the value of if you shop at Trader Joe’s!

First, bring your own bag to carry out all the goodies you will buy at the store. Trader Joe’s practice is to double their paper bag to ensure it’s safe to carry them out without any drop off. I think it is too wasteful! I bring my own bags and ask the clerk to bag all items into my own recyclable and reusable bags.

The best time to go to Trader Joe’s is in the evenings. At least that’s what I experience, almost nobody there! It may get really crowded during a weekend or on holidays. All depends on your local area and habits of your fellow-customers there!

And yes, consult an online Fearless Flyer – a publication of Trader Joe’s featuring the products in the store that can be even on sale!.

Scroll down to the Comments Section to look up these value points that could save you money you would find where to spend it.

    #1 Chicken Sausage

It’s one of the most popular items at Trader Joe’s, but don’t get the organic chicken.

Kiplinger pointed out that Kroger and Walmart have Trader Joe’s beat when it comes to price — $0.50 per pound. Plus, Dang told Business Insider how prepackaged meat is similar to prepackaged produce in that you could end up purchasing more than you actually need.

    #2 Frozen Meals

Keeping frozen meals on hand makes it easy prepare a quick dinner, and Trader Joe’s has some of the best deals in the frozen section.

According to Kiplinger, even non-Trader Joe’s brands, like Amy’s, are up to $2 cheaper at Trader Joe’s compared to competitors.

    #3 Specialty Cheeses
Kiplinger has noted that the Trader Joe’s specialty cheese selection has a wide variety of choices and great prices. Trader Joe’s specialty cheeses also ranks high on Foodbeast’s list of top items.

    #4 Store Label Products

Trader Joe’s is best known for its signature in-house food products, like its Speculoos cookie butter. Having a stocked pantry is critical to saving money when grocery shopping.

“If you have that well stocked pantry … you don’t have to be adding very much every additional week.”

Quinoa is a particularly good nonperishable to stock up on at Trader Joe’s, as Kiplinger points out that it was $2 less per pound than Whole Foods’ quinoa, and $0.50 less than Walmart’s.

    Buy Interesting SNACKS!
Trader Joe’s is famous for its many varieties of many snacks. STOCK UP on them. They are much less expensive than any other store!

Just to give you an idea of snacks: dark-chocolate peanut-butter cups, popcorn with olive oil, kettle corn, and roasted seaweed snacks.

Plus, you can find many types of crisps and tiny toasts that are simply PERFECT for entertaining and a quick delicious snack as well. I love these and use them extensively for my guest parties and with salads. You don’t need a ton of them. The right topping does the trick!

#6 Use Coupons & Buy Organic!
Yes, you can use Coupons at Trader Joe’s! You can easily save a ton on the already lower priced items with additional couponing. Bring them in!

One more thing, if you are looking for Peanut butter – get it at Trader Joe’s! It always has a better deal than competitor stores. And those butters are yummy, too.

I also get fresh and Organic products from Trader Joe’s at a lower price. Just go and see what they carry in the category you are looking for.

#7 What NOT To GET at Trader Joe’s
    – Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
People commented that it was one of their worst experiences to eat those.

Buy FROZEN Mac ‘n Cheese instead. Generous portion for a good price!

    – Just be aware that packaged Fresh Produce may not be really FRESH. Plus, it can be packaged into more items than you need.

    – NO to Frozen Fruit
As these frozen fruit and berries are packaged in a much smaller bag than a usual experience in other stores, they tend to be much pricier. As much pricier as three times than comparable fruit options at Walmart.
