What are superfoods? We hear about them all the time. Yet a true meaning escapes many of us due to the overuse of the term itself.

Yet the central idea of any good thing is its impact on our body, soul, entire living and well-being. I personally don’t believe in Top 5 or 10 or 20 superfoods. There’s not such a thing! There’s more to a superfood concept than it is touted out there to grab out attention.

Let’s grab a few superfoods today. Then repeat this process again and again. Foods when they get into our intestinal system interact there. They dance and create one of the most enigmatic and complex reactions ever! Let’s learn more, open our minds and bodies to the goodness that lies in every single one of them.

The key idea is to eat abundantly in variety, to include different foods into our diet to rip the greatest benefits of superfoods they’ve been for any one of us for centuries.

Grab your favorite beverage this morning and dive into discussion threads below. Take something that may work for you and your lifestyle and incorporate it into your routine. That would be the most valuable thing you’d ever do today.

AM COFFEE DAILY CONVERSATIONS

Today’s AM Coffee is Sponsored by
Purequosa

Purequsa stands “pure origin” and is based on colloidal silver that has the antibacterial qualities. I am a huge fan of colloidal silver for years now. When I have a cold or just the beginning of it, I fetch my bottle of silver and take a few drops with my drinking water. The body is being helped by the silver particles that weigh tight to the pathogens and eliminate them out of the system.

Purequosa has created a solution for the skin to feel alive and vibrant and healthy during and after each physically-intense activity. Or during hot summer days. Purequosa solutions are available in spray bottles and can be used for skin refreshing baths so to say. Just spray on your face, body, under arms, and even in your sports bags or equipment to eliminate odor and microbes.

    Blueberries Superfood

All berries on earth are packed with some potent phytonutrients. The majority of them is not known to science or has a name of what they are!

Yet it doesn’t mean our bodies cannot say ‘hi five’ and recognize them when we eat them!

Some berries are more potent in one or several ingredients that produce that “superfood” effect. The more variety we eat, the better of are we.

Bluberries have won a superfood hat due to their potent antioxidant phytonutrients anthocyanins and resveratrol to protect cells from free radicals, thus, ensure our youthful skin and organs.

    Vitamin C in blueberries

It has a dynamite power in a way it is delivered to the cells. As you remember, Vitamin C is part of the collagen formation in our skin, thus is important to be present if you’re after a healthy, great-looking skin for many years ahead of you. Yes, Vitamin C is yet another excellent antioxidant that does its work in our body and thwarts colds, flu and makes their symptoms milder.

The best sources for Vitamin C are:
The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes.

    Soluble fiber in Blueberies

Gimmy fiber any time! It helps fight belly fat and support glycemic control.

    • I love blueberries i can eat them like popcorn~~ making sure i get them when i go shopping from now on i have heard more than this about how great blueberries are

      • Laura, Celebrate Woman Today says

        Wendi,
My favorites are the big blueberries. They seem to be sweeter.
Plus, I smother them against my facial and neck skin – hold for 5-7 minutes and rinse off with cool water.
        The feeling is heavenly!

    • I like blueberries but I like broccoli, oranges, strawberries and sweet potatoes a bit more.

    • Amanda Alvarado says

We use blueberries in smoothies almost daily (I’ve been slacking since I’ve been out for summer though!) provided they aren’t too expensive to buy!

      • Laura, Celebrate Woman Today says

That’s what I do with all berries: I freeze them!
As they go bad so fast, I wash and dry and freeze them. This way, I have a good stack and variety of fresh berries frozen.
I love making a a thick smoothie and dress it up with freshly cut banana pieces, chia and hemp nuts.

  3. mary taylor says

    Superfood BEANS

What a feast they are, tiny beans, big beans! They are probably the most underserved and undermentioned food ever.

Look what many of people are missing in the beans:

Phytonutrients – these are the powerful antioxidants for the entire body
    Vitamins – especially Vitamin C
Soluble Fiber – Wow, this is something that everybody must have to ensure blood sugar control, appetite in check, great digestion, and that “filling” feel.

Heart health is part of their bean routine.

Fighting fat belly fat? Turn your attention to BEANS!

      • Laura, Celebrate Woman Today says

        Wendi,
With this song, I can officially announce that you MADE MY DAY!
        HA HA HA

By the way, did you know that farting is healthy for the body and what actually happens during this process?
We could have a total discussion about it.
May change your opinion about this natural way of releasing bodily gasses.

    • I like beans in soup, salads, as sides and mashed in main dishes. I eat more beans now than even a few years ago.

      • Laura, Celebrate Woman Today says

        Lisa,
It is great you do enjoy eating beans in your recipes.
What I’ve done is I’ve sourced about ten different types of beans and alternate among them when cooking.
I use pressure cooker to cook beans in minutes!
I can add them, then, to any salad, soup or main dish I prep.

    • Amanda Alvarado says

We eat beans at least once a week usually refried on tacos or chalupas. I LOVE my MIL’s homemade ones!!

      • Laura, Celebrate Woman Today says

        Amanda,
You gotta share with us that yummy recipe.
Do you know what’s in it?

    • I have never much liked avocados. My husband loves them.

      • Laura, Celebrate Woman Today says

        Lisa,
Avocados are really a scream of culture here.
It took me many years before I started to enjoy them.
And I like them in a good guacamole, that’s it.

    • Amanda Alvarado says

We love avocados but lately, I haven’t had any luck picking them out – we cut them open and they are a nasty brown color and none of us will eat them! I’m really starting to not like our grocery store. I’ve been thinking of going shopping at one further from home just for the variety since ours has phased out a lot of the organic foods that we buy. Gonna hit up Sam’s today for avocados – they are the only place I’ve found that has avocados that are good!

  6. one that i need to acquire a taste for i need to practice some cooking with these and make sure i cut them correctly and not cut my hand off! i watched the Martha stewart video on cutting them properly LOL

  7. Celebrate Woman says

Mary, I love fresh blueberries the most. I eat all berries when they’re fresh
