AM COFFEE – Sign In! HELLO, Everyone!

    Do you like beaches?

If Yes, what kind of activities do you usually prefer doing there?

As for me, I am an avid Beach Power Walker. Love trotting the early or late afternoon beach sand!

    sign in am coffee

    • Good morning! my computer’s running really slow… I love taking family photos at the beach – we bring along a friend with a good camera and a little talent, pop in our own sd card, and voila! free family photos in the most beautiful setting!

    • Jennifer Hiles says

Good Morning everyone! I haven’t been to a beach in year. I used to love going. My favorite thing to do is swim in the ocean!

    • Jessica Parent says

Good afternoon! I like the beach but HATE sand sticking to my feet/body (love putting my dry feet in sand however) I like building sand castles, body boarding and volleyball

    • I love just sitting on the beach, just watching the waves roll in.

      • kaen hinkle says

good afternoon ladis I have been waiting for amcoffee put planes off just to be here well I love the beaches but don’t go as often because of grandson but I hope to go soon so I have my own little beach right here on the farm a lot cleaner and not as may ppl lol

      • Rachel Skirvin says

Sadly, that’s how I spent 6 hours of my day yesterday. It was not how I planned on spending my first visit in the past 2 years. I was super sad.

    • Raye Wiedner says

Good morning everyone! It’s been a hectic morning here, but I finally made it. My favorite beach (so far) has been Love Beach in Florida. My grandie and I had so much fun chasing each other all over the beach, in and out of the water, and trying to top each other on who found the prettiest shells. Being in the midwest, we have more gravel and rocky waterfronts, so he and I try to find interesting rocks.

    • Rebecca Swenor says

Good morning all. I love beaches but around here we have nothing that looks like this except Lake Superior. It is always so cold to swim in but I love the waves. It is like swimming in the ocean with out the salt and at colder temp for sure. I like just sit in the water on nice hot summer day.

    • wendy c g says

Morning, I love the beach. We have some beautiful beaches around us in SoCal. I love sitting and relaxing to sound of the waves. Playing with the kids in the sand.

    • wendi watson says

Good Morning, I have mixed feelings on beaches, i like to hang out and play in the sand etc, but I am not a fan of the water it makes me a little nervous that i can not see in the water to see what is going on or what is in there LOL

You will find some of the Whitest sand at this bay beach! Would you fancy and DIY crafts on the sand?

    Grace Bay, Providenciales
    Photo: TripAdvisor

    • Jennifer Hiles says

Wow, I’ve never seen white sand first hand. Only in photos and movies. Not sure where Providenciales is… But it looks beautiful! Has anyone else seen the jewelry they make from sand? You can send your own sand it and have them make it into necklaces, etc. I thought it was neat.

    • I’d dye the sand to make sand art. it’s beautiful. I never thought of the beach in this way.

      • kaen hinkle says

I say them are some beautiful pics but you know what they say pic don’t show them justice I had see pic of theGrand Canyon and we went about 18 yrs ago it was so amazing and huge

    • Rebecca Swenor says

I have never see sand so clean this looks gorgeous. I love making crafts out of sand.

    • Raye Wiedner says

I’d definitely love to make some charms from that sand, and use them in my crocheted wire bracelets and necklaces.

    • wendy c g says

Gorgeous, I’ve seen sand art, necklaces with sand in them.

    • Jessica Parent says

Ive only seen white sand one other time in my life (in Florida)It was gorgeous-I would take some home in a bottle but probably wouldn’t make crafts with it…just use it decoratively

    • I Have never heard of this place, As for arts and crafts, I would like to dye sand all different colors and then paint glue all over a canvas and try a make a picture with the sand.

    • wendi watson says

I did not know there was White sand but it looks very relaxing and very peaceful i need to go there for a few days and regroup! but i would bring that sand home in something!

    3. Flamenco Beach, Culebra, Puerto Rico

The climate would be a perfect combination of warm sun and cool breezes. It’s like salt and sugar working together, only there’s no satiation of it all!

You want to soak in and in and in!

    Flamenco Beach, Culebra, Puerto Rico

    • Jennifer Hiles says

This is another place I’ve never been. In fact, the only time I’ve left the country was my trip to Canada and we walked over the border, lol. I’ve heard the beaches of Puerto Rico were something to behold. I hope to someday see for myself.

    • wow. I live a 20 minute walk from the beach and a 4 minute drive… nothing like this!!

      • Jennifer Hiles says

@Menu, how lucky you are! There is a small beach about 10 minutes from where I live but not an ocean nearby. I’ve been to the ocean about 3 times and it was amazing.

        • kaen hinkle says

oh there is nothing that pretty by me but we do live in Michigan we are surrounded by water but I have not seen that beauty

    • Rebecca Swenor says

This place or one of these gorgeous places is going on my bucket list before I go. 🙂 I have been told stories by a old acquaintance who owns a store here that Hawaii is always in the 70’s and is just gorgeous. This place would remind me of that.

    • Raye Wiedner says

I’ve made a Pinterest board of places we plan to see in the near future, I’d love to add this to it.

    • Jessica Parent says

I’d love to sit on this beach for even a day-simply gorgeous!

    • I want to go to a beach where there is no noise, no one yelling and screaming. So I guess I’ll just leave the kids at home , yay. lol

    • wendi watson says

Such a clean view as compared to some of the beaches here in the US amazing how beautiful something can be by taking care of it! Everyone should learn a lesson on cleaning up our beaches here at home!

    4. Rabbit Beach, Lampedusa, Italy

This is one of the most attractive beach bays in the world. The waters are crystal clear and the beach could be not that crowded at all.

If you want a sanctuary to relax –> that’s the direction you gotta head over to!

     Rabbit Beach, Lampedusa, Italy
    Photo: TripAdvisor

    • Jennifer Hiles says

Italy is my dream. At one point, I had my passport and was saving money to go there. The friend I was suppose to go with bailed on me right before (luckily) I purchases the flight tickets. I was so bummed. I didn’t want to go alone since I don’t know the language and have never traveled. I ended up using the money for a down payment on a Jeep Wrangler. That helped my mood! I still dream of going there someday. I have heard the water in places is crystal clear.

    • I would love to go to Italy. Never been… It’s probably about 7 down on my list of places to travel…

      • kaen hinkle says

I have never been out of the county would love to go to Hawii its a dream to go there I an still wishing lol

    • Rebecca Swenor says

Italy is on my bucket list because of some my family members coming from there who where born there. This looks so peaceful and gorgeous.

    • Raye Wiedner says

Absolutely gorgeous. That water is so clear!!

    • wendy c g says

I have always wanted to go to Italy.

    • Jessica Parent says

I wish!!! I’ve never had the money to leave the country (besides Canada once or twice-we are only an hour from Niagra Falls) We are lucky to get away for a day or 2 every other year on a mini vacation

    • I could imagine going there, just think , lay on the beach all day and then at night , eat all that Italian food. Sounds like heaven to me.

    • wendi watson says

Breathtaking unreal how gorgeous it is! Take me away! I have chosen my getaway!

    5. Whitehaven Beach, Australia

Australia could be romantic and beautiful with the beaches like Whitehaven.

Once you’re there, you are lost to time and sense of any movement around you. Only you and the ocean. Everything else ceases to exist.

    Whitehaven Beach, Australi
    Photo: TripAdvisor

    • Jennifer Hiles says

That’s what I need: For everything else to cease to exist… just for a little while. This photo is gorgeous. Almost looks magical.

    • wow, it’s so empty, I didn’t know emptiness could be so beautiful…

      • kaen hinkle says

wouldn’t that be nice to have your own private island with all that beautiful water and sand it would be out of this world

    • Rebecca Swenor says

I can see why from this picture I Love the different colors of the ocean. I got goosebumps. 🙂

    • Raye Wiedner says

Australia is one of the few places overseas that hubby would like to go. He always says he’s happy just to explore America and the U.S. Virgin Islands, but for some reason, Oz attracts him.

    • wendy c g says

      I need that.

    • Jessica Parent says

I’ve ALWAYs wanted to visit Australia….fingers crossed that some day I get the opportunity

    • This would be heaven to me compared to staying home with 2 screaming kids that make a mess , eat every 5 minutes and constantly fight. SOMEONE BUY ME A TICKET . Please. lol

    • wendi watson says

Not sure i can do the flight to get to Austraila but the imagination of my body being there and hanging out has given me a great look at today and a sense of peace! Its breathtaking as well wow!

    • Jennifer Hiles says

I can imagine that Spain is full of such colorful culture, buildings, people, food! This is another place on my dream travel list!

    • I learned a lot of Spanish while working with tourists in the Jerusalem beauty store I worked at. I know how to say “hand cream, face cream, anti-aging” perfectly. You think that will help me around Spain? lol. It looks beautiful. I’d love to be on one of those boats too.

      • Jennifer Hiles says

@menu, haha. I wish I could speak another language. I took 4 years of French in high school but didn’t retain much of it. I can get the gist of something if it is written down but not spoken.

        • kaen hinkle says

ok now you are making me want t go to the beach and just relax I wll have to do it in the comfort of my home but these are so amazing pic

        • I’m actually pretty good with languages. Working with those creams I learned how to say the products in at least 10 different languages. I’m fluent in English (my mother tongue), Hebrew, and French. I understand a lot of German and can speak some. Other languages I just know snippets of…

        • the key is to be surrounded by the language and actually use it. that’s the only way to really learn and keep it. We are raising my baby as bilingual 🙂

    • Rebecca Swenor says

So blue it is amazing. Now I know when I take my next nap today, it may take me a while to awake up. lol I have an excuse for napping though cause I am sick. These pictures are helping not think about it at all though. Thanks Laura for showing us all the beauty and getting our imaginations going.

    • Raye Wiedner says

Okay, I vote that the entire AMCoffee community all gets together, chips in, and buys a big party yacht. We’ll travel together to all these places!

    • wendy c g says

My husband family is from Spain. It’s full of color and wonderful people.

This is the TOP of the World and Heaven Beach. Lived there 1/3 of my life.

Every day is a new day, with new inspirations, happy people walking the beach or doing some sports. But all in all, this place exudes Peace and Comfort, the sense of being in a real-time Heaven.

I probably accumulated hundreds of power-walking miles there.

    • Jennifer Hiles says

I can’t imagine what it’s like. I can imagine it’s a happy place though. I knew a girl who lived there for awhile. For some reason she came back to PA and stayed. I can’t imagine leaving such beauty and tranquility. Are those volcanoes? I’ve never seen one in person.

    • again, beautiful. Imagine taking family photos there – it almost looks like a hanging backdrop. You’re lucky to have lived in such a beautiful place!

    • kaen hinkle says

now this is my dream vacation I want to go so bad my sis went she said I would have fell in love with it and the flowers were so beautiful oh I am dreaming of this

    • Rebecca Swenor says

Yep there she blows. I am for sure going to Hawaii one day. My grandparents went twice and had an amazing time.

    • Raye Wiedner says

How lucky to be able to have lived there for a time!

    • wendy c g says

Beautiful, I want go right now lol.

    • Jessica Parent says

I used to babysit for a family that had lived in Hawaii for 15 yrs-they spoke so highly of the close knit community -Ive always thought it would be a cool place to live

    • Now this would be a more dreamable dream for he. I could see myself going they one of these days.

    • wendi watson says

    9. Rhossili Bay, Swansea, Wales

Even England has some amazing beaches. This one would welcome you with its amazing atmosphere that is different, yet so friendly. You’ll meet your inspiration and encouragement there. A very unique beach indeed.

On one amazing trip, my hubby, who is an avid runner, was running the beach there. He was so lost in thought, that he forgot where he parked. He had to run some extra 4-5 miles before it “came to him” or he just accidently “bumped” into the place where he left his car. It was quite an experience on that day, as he was getting ready for a very important biz meeting.

    Rhossili Bay, Swansea, Wales
    Photo: TripAdvisor

    • I’ve been to some beaches in Northern England and Scotland. They are also beautiful. We did a hike along a beach in Scotland, about an hour’s drive from North England. It was so breathtaking and exhilarating

    • Jennifer Hiles says

Yet another place I long to see. England just seems like such a different and unique place with so much history and culture. What a beautiful photo. Someday…someday…

    • Rebecca Swenor says

Okay that is a somewhat funny story. I can see why he forgot. My grandfathers great grandfather was the duke of England on my moms side so England is also on my bucket list too.

    • wendy c g says

I imagine you could get lost in thought there.

    • Raye Wiedner says

LOL that’s a funny story, Laura!! I hope he made it to the meeting on time.

    • Jessica Parent says

I have family to stay with in Coventry if I ever get the money to go …My mom was born in England and lived there for half of her childhood. So much to do over there -the beautiful beach will be a bonus

    • I see what looks like a small house in that picture, I’ll move in there anytime.

    • wendi watson says

    10. Playa Norte, Isla Mujeres, Mexico

Winds and breezes take turns here to show what you came for!

Really good powerwalking or jogging strip of the beach there!

And if you are not up to it –> sip your Tequila and enjoy the sun!

    Playa Norte, Isla Mujeres, Mexico
    Photo: TripAdvisor

    • how do you power walk on the sand? We used to have a great boardwalk here, but it was destroyed in hurricane Sandy. They’re repairing it, but the area close to my house only has segments of a few feet at a time….

    • Jennifer Hiles says

This does look like a great place for some exercise. Walking/running in sand is a whole different world from running on pavement or ground! It’s exhausting but such a great workout. I’ve heard about the white sands of Mexico but have yet to experience them.

      • kaen hinkle says

I just say breath taking just to see one of these beaches would be memorable to be able to visit how great it would be for the mind and soul

    • Rebecca Swenor says

I think I would be sipping and walking. lol So pretty. 🙂

    • wendy c g says

I would take the fruity drink instead..

    • Raye Wiedner says

Sippy cup with a strawberry margarita, and I’m all good for the power walk. Then powerwalk back for another margarita.

    • Jessica Parent says

Walking and running in the sand is quite a workout-when I was younger I dreamed of going to Mexico after my uncle took his wife to Acapulco …but these days with all the horror stories of drug lords airing people out Im too scared to venture there

    • I honestly don’t know if I would go to Mexico, US citizens go down there and never return.

    • wendi watson says

i would love to be able to walk or jog the beach the different muscles you would use that your not used to would be amazing! great toning!

  13. CoffeeTime says

Take a look at them all here!

    teacakes

    • Jennifer Hiles says

The Strawberry Teacake look amazing. They are all so beautiful! I like the idea of wrapping them in lace. That would be fun to do for a bridal shower! Also love the sugar cubes! Such cute flowers on them. The one I would most like to taste is the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cheesecakes! Two of my favorite things combined!

    • Rebecca Swenor says

I love the ones you show in the picture. They looks so good but I might be afraid to eat them because of their beauty. 🙂

    • wendy c g says

All of them are so pretty, love the sugar cubes.

    • Raye Wiedner says

I inherited my grandmother’s love of teapots and teacups…..so the cakes in the cups really attract me. I would love to try the honey and earl grey teacakes with rose petals though, I bet they’re scrumptious!

    • Jessica Parent says

Id gobble up those strawberry teacakes and Santa hat bites in less than a minute (I think maybe the chocolate strawberry cheesecakes too!) But not sure Id be able to eat the little teapots-They are so Pretty!

    • yum! I don’t think I’d eat those.I’d just look and admire the beauty!

    • I’ll take one of each of these.

    • wendi watson says

Talking Beaches brings up the subject of a Body & Soul connection.

    body soul connection

    • Jennifer Hiles says

Feel like this was meant for me to read this week. For some reason, I’ve been feeling very negative. I don’t like it. I need to just take a little mind vacation and let go of the bad energy and thoughts. I’ve tried meditation before, when I used to do yoga. I need to get back to that. Of course, I had all kinds of time for it before I got married and had kids, lol. A couple weeks ago, my sister-in-law had a party. She has a trampoline. My daughter really wanted me to get on it so when it was vacated, I did. It was so much fun. I hadn’t bounced in years! I agree, it was a good stress reliever.

      • kaen hinkle says

yes I must take some time for me and make me happy I will I am getting there in septembe grandson will be in school all day then I will get me time back but I do take moments now and then just for me even if it is all of 15 min in my flower beds and I do get some meditation in while doing this

    • wendy c g says

I always try to stay positive and surround my self with positive people. It truly makes a difference.

      • Raye Wiedner says

@Wendy, I couldn’t agree more. Negative Nellies can suck the life and joy out of our lives. Surrounding oneself with positive people makes a huge difference in everything we do.

    • Rebecca Swenor says

My time is my baths and a nice peaceful walk. We all sometimes do forget to take the time to do just simple things for our self when we do get overwhelmed. Thanks for all the advice Laura. 🙂

    • Raye Wiedner says

Meditation has had a huge impact on my life. I’m so much more calm and peaceful now. I make it a point to sit on my porch daily and just gaze at the valley, there is something different to see every day, and it’s also a great place to exercise.

    • Jessica Parent says

I take vacations in my head quite often (they are the only ones I get 🙂 ) …I find meditation extremely relaxing however the trampoline stresses me out -VERY Fun but not good for my stress incontinence (I pee myself EVERY time (its horrible!)

    • I do love nature as a way to care for my spiritual side. It’s so relaxing and helps me be at peace with myself which is the first step of course.

    • Weekends seems to be the only time to relax and sometimes not even then. I’m happy some days , just to be home alone.

    • wendi watson says

there has truly been a lot of negative going on in my life lately and this has made me think about the fact that there is an escape to go to and regroup our thoughts and bring a smile back to our faces !
