No, mine has no clue. In fact he is going to work and leave me to care for my son as in any other day!

    • Virginia Rogers says

Good Morning!! Have to say my girls dad and I split up 18 years ago and I raised alone with help from my mom and my grandma. Even the few years we were together my mom always bought me something for Mother’s day from the girls he never did. As girls got older they took over getting for me themselves of course. As for my boyfriend now yes he usually gets me something he knows I could use. We have been together 7 years now, we kind of have agreement with any holidays although wants are nice I generally have to push for something off of needs /could use more type lists I generally give him things could use but can’t afford. 🙂

    • HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, My husband has no idea what to get me for mothers day. He usually comes right out and ask me, ” What do you want.”. My answer is PEACE AND QUITE, lol Just kidding.

    • i have to go now it has been fun with posting with you ladies time to go to work and give the computer back to my wife lol

    • Stacy Giacosa-Bauer says

Good Morning Ladies! I hope everyone has a Happy Mother’s Day!

    • Good Evening to everyone on this wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend

    • All I want is something home made from my kids, they always make the best cards! Other than that, it’s a regular day for me!

HOW ABOUT TO SHOWER YOUR MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN WITH FLOWERS?
(TIP, TIP —> she loves those that LAST! LONG, LONG TIME!
Bring her potted flowers that would remind her of you every single moment)

    potted flowers

    • Isis Sample says

oh i adore some flower, usually only get the on my birthday or christmas, but this year the husband is surprising me and taking the family to Tulip Festival in Albany, NY. Lot’s of beautiful flowers to see, great music, and yummy food. Always wanted to go as i’m a big tulip fan! Can’t wait rain you better not happen!! lol

    • Diana Smith Hill says

I agree, potted are better! I don’t like to watch something so beautiful dying. Life for all things is important and women are sensitive to beauty fading issues especially as we get older lol

    • Karen Hinkle says

I to love my flowers ant kind I love potted and I am a perennial. Lover the come back every year to remind you so I prefer them but I like all flowers I have big huge flower beds over 75 different perennial and I love them all

    • My husband actually entered a contest for the first time and it was for a flat of flowers from a local Garden here in Il. I was so surprised he did that because he thinks I am funny for sitting here playing my game most of the night. He did it just to make me smile and it sure did work, Of course we did not win but it was the taught that counted and now he will have to go buy me some.

    • Rebecca Swenor says

I love receiving flowers and plants that are potted. 🙂

    • Carol Yemola says

I love flowers, especially the potted ones. Cut bouquets are beautiful, but they only last a short time. Potted plants last a long time and remind me of the loved ones who gave them to me.

    • we have cats and they tend to eat any plants we bring in the house so i rarely get her any but i do bring her home roses and wildflowers sporatically

    • I agree potted plants are way better

    • wendy c g says

I always tell my hubby to get potted flowers so I can enjoy them longer.

    • Elicia P says

I love the look of that image.
Mine bought me a orchid for Valentine’s Day both this year and last. It was funny because last year when he learned that it is a plant that is to stay and will not die right away he was upset. With my black thumb I did indeed kill it and he knew I was upset. This year he got me another one. Guess, he got over the fact it lioves longer or he may think I will kill it again!

    • Virginia Rogers says

I absolutely love potted flowers like those. I always used to get them for my grandma, I personally have never gotten any, but see all the time in stores, they are pretty and do last a long time!! 🙂

    • I love flowers but, I’ll admit it. I forget to water them. I think I would rather have a plant that I can plant in the flower bed that would come back every year. A butterfly bush would be nice.

    • Stacy Giacosa-Bauer says

These flowers are Beautiful, but I would rather have a rose bush because that is my favorite flower and it will bloom all year long!

    • I love all flowers and I dont get them that often but I love purple roses the best!

TIP, TIP –> HOW ABOUT TAKING HER TO SEE THE BREATHTAKING SIGHTS?
MORE HELP –> Check out for such sight in your local community, too! They could be an apple throw away!)

    travel couple taking selfie

    • Diana Smith Hill says

I agree, it’s a way to escape it all, the daily dulldrums. Take an adventure. Park, zoo, coffee shop, hiking, something outside. Winter was long and depressing!

    • Isis Sample says

I Agree and it doesn’t have to be far, i always enjoy supporting the community and local businesses. could even be a great cafe somewhere that ppl talk about. anything could be new and exciting if you go looking for it!

    • My husband would rather go out for Dinner or send me to the spa. We are really not people who go places except on vacation and that is usually to visit family.

    • Rebecca Swenor says

That would be a very relaxing and breath taking event. It is a good one. 🙂

    • Carol Yemola says

There are so many great places to see just around where I live. Why is it that we always seem to have to travel so far to see beautiful things when there are some right in our own backyard?

    • she wants to go to the mountains soon and i think we will probably do a day trip and see the sights

    • Iwould love to, but the only family we have here in TN is my mother in law and her husband, I love them, but I dont like to ask them to watch my 4 kids cuz it always seems like they feel obligated and I have to rush

    • wendy c g says

I love going to local parks just to relax and enjoy nature.

    • Virginia Rogers says

Used to love to do with my mom, every Mother’s day weekend starts The Lilac festival here and she would take me just so we could walk along the park to see all the beautiful lilac trees. As for any man figure or anyone else have never done this, would love to again one day. I pray everyday to be able to drive and not have to use this walker and my dr. will lift the weight bearing restrictions on my legs so I can one day go for a walk anywhere with my boyfriend and also to walk my grandson. 🙂

    • My hubbys idea would be go for a drive and take a picnic basket. I really think I would enjoy that.

    • Stacy Giacosa-Bauer says

My husband and I love going to the mountains! We live in Florida, but we would rather live in the mountains! We will be going to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, NC in June for the first time for our 25th wedding anniversary!

    • thia beniash says

I would love a day of photography out in the woods enjoying beautiful waterfalls with the family. After that I don’t want to have to cook at all. I just want to upload and play with the photos I took of the day. Simple, Easy and Relaxing day. Oh ya, did I mention, the kids have to act perfectly and get along like they are BFF’s allllll day too! lol

    • I live very close to the beach, and that is the most breathtaking sight, I can think of I love the view anytime

TREAT YOUR HONEY TO SOME BEAUTIFUL THINGS!
(TIP, TIP —> WE’VE HEARD SHE’D BE JUST FINE WITH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW! Bed & Breakfast Would Do!
WELL, IF NOT THAT, MOVIE IT IS, THEN!
    PETERHOF

    • Diana Smith Hill says

Have no idea where that pic was taken but someplace I would love to see myself. Movie not so much these days.

      • Elicia P says

That is a very nice place and I am with you Diana no movies here. I hate going to see films in the theater at home hubby is usually asleep before the opening credits are done.

    • Isis Sample says

wow that is a romantic view! but no need for all that. would be perfectly happy with breakfast in bed or at least not having to make breakfast! HA HA HA HA. maybe a massage, i sure do like it when the spa is conveniently in my home. ****hint guys******back rubs and foot rubs!!! Mom’s LOVE Those! LOL

    • Before all the kids moved back home with all the grandchildren we did go to a place like the sybris just to get away. I do have to give him a shout out because he love to give me massages at night and he uses the oils that smell great. Got to love him.

    • Carol Yemola says

I would love it if someone made me breakfast! Still waiting for that to happen.

    • Angel has been wanting to visit Biltmore Estate for many years. I plan to take her one day but I have to bring myself to want to pay over $100 to see a billionaires home! lol they have enough money as it is why they need more?

    • Rebecca Swenor says

Exactly any time spent together is what most mothers love. 🙂

    • wendy c g says

Wow that picture is gorgeous. I would love to go there.

    • Virginia Rogers says

That is absolutely beautiful. Have now added to my place I dream to one day go!! Thank you for sharing! 🙂

    • Stacy Giacosa-Bauer says

My husband’s idea of a view is in the country or the mountains at a Bed & Breakfast!

IF THE ABOVE IS NOT “HER” THING, THEN JUST TAKE HER SHOPPING!
(TIP, TIP —> SHE WOULD DEFINITELY LOVE THE BLING!)
IF NOT, THEN SIMPLY ASK WHAT SHE’D LIKE!

    WOMAN WITH JEWELRY

    • Diana Smith Hill says

Spa day would be better! Give me the credit card and take me to the spa! Ok, we cannot afford that but if we could would be my choice. Spa day, hair salon day, massage day, something. Ok, Mani Pedi maybe! lol

      • my wife won a free couple massage and a facial for valentine’s day and it was nice. my first time ever and she gave me the facial instead of for herself.

    • Isis Sample says

a shopping spree!! HA HA HA HA! okay not a SPREE but would be great to just go out and say oh i want that, especially if it’s like in the Godiva Store. Ugh nothing says LOVE like a mommy with an unlimited credit card in a candy store! LOL!!!

    • My husband used to buy me bling, but for some reason I don’t know he stopped doing that. I sure do miss it. I hope he takes some of the hints I have dropped and starts again. He used to take the girls out and give them the credit card and say go pick out stuff your mom would like. I wish he would give it to them once again because there is two things I really want, but he will not buy them because he said he won’t buy me anything that has to do with me having work.

    • Carol Yemola says

I would love a day to go shopping all by myself. Hubby always wants to go with me and I really can’t stop and look at all the things that I want to.

    • hopefully this year we will be able to have her a little shopping spree. she gives so much to others and i’d like to treat her

      • Jerry, That is the nicest thing to say about your wife. So happy to hear a man acknowledge how much what women do for their families, not many men would take the time to do that. Your wife is lucky to have you.

    • Rebecca Swenor says

I love to shop but I usually shop at second hand stores and so does my mom. Somethings still have the tags them and you can buy more.

    • wendy c g says

Shopping is always a hit with me. I love going antiquing.

    • I just want a quiet day with no screaming and fight kids..I love them but I am with them 24 7 and my only alone time is mowing the yard or going to the store..lol

    • Elicia P says

I love jewelry it is one of my weaknesses. My husband thinks though it is a waste of money (remember I did say he is extremely frugal at one point in our chats). I need to keep reminding him that jewelry is a investment!!

    • Virginia Rogers says

The only jewelry my kids dad ever got me was an engagement ring one Valentine’s Day and is now put away for my daughter one day. My boyfriend now our first couple years would get me jewelry of some kind every occasion, not engaged yet though lol, after that he started buying more things I needed, whether it was clothes, money to help with girls the last few years were tough living on one disability check and my daughter had ball, graduation, party, yearbook, and many expenses he was there to help me through. 🙂

      • Rebecca Swenor says

The things you need are sometimes the best gifts. 🙂

        • Karen Hinkle says

I am not a bling kinda gal I rather have some bling for my car as I am a Nascar nut I have a 03 Monte Carlo SS decked out with all the flags and stuff I could use some flow masters LOL I know I am crazy

    • I would love some sparkle. But that man can not pick out jewelry, “God Bless his soul.” But he tries.

      • Elicia P says

I have to pick my own out and then let him know what I want. About 2 out of 10 times have I actually gotten the jewelry or jewelry at all!

I would love 1 day of pampering. To have someone wait on me hand & foot. To be taken to a spa for a massage, facial, mani-pedi then taken out for a wonderful dinner. Unfortunately we live paycheck to paycheck & can barely afford to eat out at a fast food resturant once a month.

  12. Nope, he doesn’t have a clue. Well, he does have half a clue so I have to give him that much.

  13. Ideally I’d like something that took time and thought to plan and get. I like gifts that you can look at years later and remember the day. You can’t look at meals and flowers that way.

  14. Wow! That’s some nice bling. I hope everyone has a super day

I can’t complain my hubby knows I’m craving bacon burgers and he made me 2 for my breakfast this morning. I’m a happy camper!

  23. Happy Mother’s Day Everyone! I’m having a great Mother’s Day! My 16 yo son, who says he’s poor, gave me a really cute card and a snickers bar. My husband also got me tickets to a local play next Friday night. I’m feeling good! 🙂

  24. As for me, even though am not married or have a suitor. On that mothers day, i would love my husband to take a leave at work and spend some time with me.

  25. I think having coffee and just talk would be an excellent way to celebrate mothers day with your partner.

  26. Thanks so much for spelling it out the the guys with your gift giving guide! :-)))

  27. I am not a mother, but I can tell you my mom dropped not hints as to what she wanted, lol!
