ok, so a foot massage, only when I get pedicures, and I’m due for another one. it will have to be a home spa day for me though. tightening the budget!

Good morning Good Morning from Sunny and beautiful New Yawk………pass the tea please

      • thia beniash says

oh chilly NY! Whats the high temp for today? I’m from CT and living in sunny SC now. It will be 80 here today and I am looking forward to it!

    • Jessica Parent says

Good Morning!!! I Have NEVER myself had the luxury of a professional foot massage (but one exceptionally nice right about now) . I am not up to my typical antics today (I am the prankster of my family and friends). I’ll be entering my 9th month of pregnancy later this week and have severe indigestion this morning, plus was up half the night with a very sore back and restless leg syndrome.

      • thia beniash says

I have lots to do today but I have to come up with a few antics for the kiddos…I was thinking of toilet papering their entry way to their bedrooms. bwaahaahaa

        • Jessica Parent says

Lol – my little one would get a kick out of that! I was going to freeze my kids cereal but fell asleep before I got it in the freezer…Last year I made them meatloaf cupcakes for dinner and super glued several quarters to the sidewalk and driveway and enjoyed watching them try to pick them up

          • I seen the cereal one also and was going to do it, but forgot the grand kids are on Spring break. Love the quarters idea.

          • Karen Hinkle says

lol that’s funny what a good mom you are

          • Jessica Parent says

I did the quarter one as a teenager at my local grocery store-NEVER laughed so hard in my life!! People from All walks of life tried to pick them up….Old people, young people, rich and poor….scuffing with their shoes, 1 guy used a rock and actually got one (another pulled out his pocket knife to no avail)…That was my favorite Prank Ever!! Wish I had a video camera back then (For sure would’ve been one of Americas funniest home videos 😉 ) We wont talk about the time I saran wrapped the toilet and got myself in the middle of the night

        • CoffeeTime says

          silly you, Thia!

      • Good Morning to all. Thank you #AMCoffee

      • Karen Hinkle says

oh wow you really could use a message now congrats on the baby

    • Cynthia Dubuque says

Good morning! No, I haven’t ever had a professional foot massage. To be honest, I’m embarrassed of my feet 🙁

    • Wendi Watson says

Good Morning and Happy April to everyone! I would love a foot massage!

Morning, it is to be 68 here in Cleveland but where the heck is the SUN! Oh, and it is rainy.
Foot massages, prior to my son I would get them monthly in the summer months and once in a while in the winter months. Post my son, the last one I had was when he was about 18 months old, he is three now.

Did You Know That Foot Massage Is More Than Just a Blissful Relaxation?

Here are the major points WHY you should get Foot Massage Frequently!

    – Relieve Pain
    – Reduce Stress
    – Reduce Anxiety
    – Rehabilitate Injuries
    – Boost General Health

    amcoffee

    • thia beniash says

I know it reduces stress! my dear hubby got me a foot massager for home and boy is it fantastic!

    • kelly Hubbard says

OMG Nothing like going for a pedi and just feeling pampered………..Love it..

    • Jessica Parent says

Sounds heavenly!!! I need a foot massage to help me with all of the above 🙂 (never had a professional pedicure either-but one of these days I am determined to)

    • Cynthia Dubuque says

I really should consider foot massages on a regular basis. I’m in chronic pain, which leads to stress and anxiety.

      • I agree with you on the stress level and anxiety, but I hope you can get help for the chronic pain you are in. Prayers are with you.

      • CoffeeTime says

        Cynthia,
Have you tried SELF MASSAGING your feet?

It seems counterintuitive at first, but then once you get into the routine, you’ll feel so much relaxation and relief from pain. I would encourage you to embark onto this route and start carefully learning about your feet and active=painful zones.

I’ve been interested in my life in Reflexology, got books and read up on a lot of studies and professionals who do it for a living. Amazing results do come around when we combine Facial and Foot Reflexology.

But small steps first –> Start with self foot massage!

        • I have never tried self foot massage, but would like to learn. Do you have any links or suggestions as to where I could learn more about it? Thank you.

I was thinking that it would be difficult being I am single, but this sounds like a fantastic route.

          • CoffeeTime says

            Mary,
To start with, just start massaging your feet, instinctively guiding yourself from one zone to the next.
Try to Discover places on the bottom of your feet!
Feel the knots and painful spots. Carefully massage in circular motions.
Press gently. Where it permits, press a bit harder with circular motions.

Google “foot reflexology” to get images of different Organs associated with the FOOT Georgraphy.

          • Thank you. I am going to do as you suggested. I’m also going to print the chart from this page and probably the entire conversation as a helpful tool also.

    • Wendi Watson says

Im thinking maybe i should get one for Mother’s Day this year! something new!

    • Suzanne C says

These are wonderful benefits!! I’m super ticklish, but would love to try this!

    • I have heard that foot massage is great for a person and each part of the foot relates to different body parts and organs. I think it would be fantastic.

      • Karen Hinkle says

oh yes it is wonderful to have a foot message but as I go to a chrio once a week and I tell you it has helped me in so many ways I no longer get migrains and have no back problem and as for stress it helps a lot but a foot message how nice

    • melissa augustus says

      love it

    • Brianna Ketchum says

I knew it reduces stress but I didn’t know it boosted general health

    • I know all of this… I just don’t get any foot massages often because my husband always work long hard hours and he is in bed before I am lol

    • Rebecca Swenor says

I kind know that but not really. But good to know so please sign me up. To much family drama here. lol

    • Totally reduces stress for me. Darn, I need to schedule me time and get a massage!

Foot Massage Benefit – Improved Circulation & Cleansing

We talked about the importance of cleansing for the entire body, so it could function with more vigor and give you more energy to do what you want and need to in life. It can be done with Whole Foods and good foot massages, too!

Blood carries Oxygen and Nutrients for your to function and live sustainably within your body! But how much stress do you encounter daily? It could be from mini stressful situation like locking up the keys inside the car. Or the stress could happen on the major platform like your job and family happiness.

With stress your Nutrients and Oxygen Flow is being restricted, thus allowing Toxins to accumulate within your body, causing sluggishness, no energy to go on, and if sustained and not relieved, such Constant Stress could be a culprit for major illnesses.

    What To Do?

Get foot massages as one of the ingredients of healthy living. Such massages activate acupuncture points on your feet that decrease stress and allow circulation of blood to flow freely, collecting “dust” of the day and by-products of your daily living!

    • thia beniash says

I have to say, as I have gotten older my feet remind me of my age. They ache. I should really start treating them kinder, I see a foot massage in my near future! thanks for the reminder to be kind to my little tootsies!

    • kelly Hubbard says

OMG I need to remind hubs about foot massage.. and how beneficial it is..

    • Cynthia Dubuque says

I think I’m going to have to start doing pedicures and foot massages regularly now.

    • Wendi Watson says

i think that by relieving the stress in your feet it truly can make a difference in how you feel for the day if they feel good you feel good it’s your foundation! 🙂

    • Jessica Parent says

With a 19 yr old daughter, 2 teenage boys, 2 little boys and another little boy due anytime ,I’d say I have quite a bit more stress in my life than I need. Lol- Lucky for me hubby LOVES feet (I’m the one that doesn’t like them much) We give each other foot massages pretty frequently but I didn’t realize it had so many benefits….just that it Felt GOOD 😉

    • Suzanne C says

Incredible! I’ve added this to my Mothers Day Wishlist

    • I have to take better care of my feet since I am on them all day long. My husband does give my feet a massage once in a while, but I think it might to happen a bit more often. Did not realize how beneficial it is. Thank you.

    • The relief of stress and better blood circulation sounds wonderful #AMCofee

      • Karen Hinkle says

ladies to get your hubby to do a message you need to start with doing each others it will work you just got to try if not go get one

        • I agree! However, I hate feet. I do not mind people touching mine I just hate touching others.

          • Jessica Parent says

I’m opposite kind of. I don’t mind touching loved ones feet (but find all feet, except baby feet, Gross…including my own) So I don’t like anyone touching mine 🙂 (Which upsets my hubby who adores all feet…almost to a point of a fetish

    • Brianna Ketchum says

Wow this sounds amazing I really need a massage

    • I really should go to bed earlier for my husband to massage my feet I think I am going to do that tonight lol

    • Rebecca Swenor says

Yep yrs ago in college I had a friend who would give my roommates and myself foot massages. It would relax us all and we would just veg. It is really a relaxer.

Benefits of Foot Massage – Homeostasis

    • Regular foot massages can create a homeostasis within your body, i.e., balanced living of all organs and systems.

    • Stimulation of reflexes through your feet brings in relaxation of stress, thus promoting a stronger immunity of your organism to fight off diseases.

    • Foot massages release the blockages of energy flow in your whole body. When going to a professional reflexologist, it could be at times painful to experience a foot massage, especially in the beginning. Pain is associated with blockages in energy.

Depending on your state of health, foot massage can be a huge booster in your well-being starting with the very first session.

HAVE YOU SEEN ONE OF THESE CHARTS WITH ALL THE ORGANS MAPPED OUT ON YOUR BOTH FEET? Fascinating, isn’t it?

    • Try to self-massage your feet at the end of the day to bring relaxation and relief from stress.
    • Make it a habit! 3-5 Minutes is all you need to sustain your well-being.

    • thia beniash says

WOW this is a great chart. I am going to print it out so my hubby knows exactly how to rub my feet! hee hee. Think he will appreciate it? ha haa

    • kelly Hubbard says

I am going to print this out and also share it on my FB page interesting

    • Cynthia Dubuque says

I should print that out and kindly ask my fiance to hit on a few good points.. When you do it, do you have to be barefoot or will it work with socks on?

      • CoffeeTime says

        Cynthia,
You do not need to be barefoot.
However, human contact does bring extra relief to you as an extra benefit. And it would be much more “visible” for a person who works on your feet to ID knots and more sensitive spots!

    • Wendi Watson says

never knew there were so many focal points on your feet to help maintain your body to stay feeling good! Great Chart and very informative

    • Jessica Parent says

LOL- I can’t Reach my feet anymore!! Guess I’ll have to do like Thia and print it out for my honey 😉 I def. find it fascinating (now to see if it works )

    • Suzanne C says

I had no idea all of this could be connected to your feet…I’m fascinated!

    • I did not know all this is connected to your feet, my husband better find the spot for the Heart and keep working there.
Have to print the chart out.

      • CoffeeTime says

        Tammy,
Our FEET are Fascinating! We could talk about feet and their amazing role in the overall health.
As startups, begin your daily foot massages!

    • I have seen these charts, but none this indepth. It is interesting that it can be painful from the release of energy. Thank you #AMCoffee.

      • Karen Hinkle says

well as I see it if you cant get hubby to do it you can work on it by giving yourself a message I know its not the same but it will help do the same thing thanks for the chart to I see some interesting spots that need some work for me

    • Brianna Ketchum says

I’m sure going to print this out and try it

    • wow I have never seen a chart like this … the ones I see are usually very simple…

    • Awesome chart. Laura do you have a link so I can pin it or save it?

    • Rebecca Swenor says

That is interesting because I do know my mother can not get any massage because it causes her pain. It was part of her therapy after her accident.

      • CoffeeTime says

That’s why you MOM needs to start with foot massage, very gentle, very progressive in a way that it will be an intuitive massaging that would make a huge difference in how she feels.

What Can Affect Your Foot Health, i.e., and Overall Health in the Long-Run?

    • Wrong size and high heels
Cause damage to your bones of your feet if you abuse it. Every now and then, high heels are OK.
    • Synthetic Materials
Look what materials your shoes are made of! Naturals like cotton and leather would allow your feet to breath and sweat less.
    • Let Your Old Shoes Go!
As we age, we may very well be changing in our Shoe Size. Shop for new shoes much earlier before the decade expires!
    • Allow Your Legs and Feet to Exercise
With regular walking you get double benefits – Exercising and stimulating reflexes on the bottom of your feet AND getting aerobic exercise for your Heart!
    • Give your Feet A Good Shower
At the end of the day, your feed deserve a relaxing shower! Get rid of all the bacteria that accumulate and multiply in the sweat of your feet. Bring in relaxation with cool showers to your whole body and feet.
    • Add Moisturizer
Skin on your feet needs nutrition and care like anything else living and breathing. Supply some vitamin and mineral-based lotions and oils to your feet regularly.
    • Use some Foot Support
Fat in our heels absorbs shock we get during walking and running and standing during the day. To help our feed to feel more comfortable add some socks and specialized inserts into your shoes to reduce the shock our feet receive during the day.

Just looking at those beautiful shoes make my feet cry in agony! Why do us women subject ourselves to this pain?

    • kelly Hubbard says

I have flat feet so I have be more careful of them.. But I must say I do love those shoes…………wow HOT HOT HOT but my feet dont agree so its FLats Flats flats for me..

    • Cynthia Dubuque says

I have permanent nerve damage in my right leg and foot.. I can’t wear shoes like that 🙁 I guess that’s good or bad.

    • Wendi Watson says

I do not wear Heals i used to but since i stopped i do not have cramping or arch problems any more

    • Suzanne C says

These are all great tips! I can tell by looking at those heels they aren’t very good to our feet lol

    • Jessica Parent says

I do not wear heels ever (maybe 4 times in my life and they were little ones-I can’t walk in them nor stand the feeling of my toes crunched-hahaha) however am guilty of wearing old shoes.I tend to find a pair I like and stick with them until they fall apart. As I get older I feel the need for some foot support as well and have never indulged in it.. I think I’ll need to change those 2 things (its so hard to find a good pair of shoes though 😉 )

    • melissa augustus says

i guess it good thing i dont wear high heels and my shoes fit me just fine

    • Shoes are beautiful and I used to wear high heels a lot until I had my heart attack now I can only wear flats. I have trouble with falling a lot now.

    • I used to wear high heels, but don’t prefer them any more. Just looking at some of the famous people’s feet (women), they show the stress of wearing high heels. #AMCoffee

      • Karen Hinkle says

I don’t were heels but I like them oh who am I kidding I am a country I only where my shoes when I go out as soon as I get home them babys come off and I am bare foot all day at home even in the garden I know I cant help it but that’s how I was raised I love the grass in my bare feet but I were heels on occasional

        • thia beniash says

Karen I am with you girl! Barefoot and not pregnant is my happy motto! Although I will say being bare foot all the time does a number on the heels. I use intense moisturizer on my heels at night and cover them with a sock..that I cut the toes off… in the morning they feel great! with the no toes socks I can also paint my toe nails. double duty while watching tv!

          • Karen Hinkle says

yes I agree but that’s what I do my daughter worked at a foot and ankle DR office best thisn to use is vasoline and cover them works great

    • Brianna Ketchum says

Wearing heels like that kills me I can’t ever walk in them

    • I have really dry/cracked heels. Any suggestions on how to maintain them better?

    • So many things that can happen to your feet when you wear heels all day! I remember reading about something years ago. I try to only wear heels for special occasions now.
Funny how I think about it. I bartended in college and I would bartend in heels!

    • i use to wear heels now i cant they hurt too much

    • Rebecca Swenor says

When I was younger I would wear size 6 shoe now that I am over forty I need to wear size 5 or 51/2 shoe. The smaller shoe is much more comfortable and it doesn’t affect my back and hips.
