ROSE WATER is one of the most underestimated ingredients and product. How many of you use rose water in their daily life?

The benefits for skin and overall health are abundant when you add rose water or as it is called rose hydrosol into your daily living. Like anything else, go with small steps to try new things and adjust them to your lifestyle, not vice verse.

Knowing some things about rose hydrosol would fill your life with more joy and satisfaction. Little things like rose water can calm down inflammation in the skin of the scalp, or it can fight acne and plays a regenerative role when applied to skin. Things like that.

Ready to embark for our little Big journey of today? Let’s Sail!

ROSE WATER AND ITS BENEFITS FOR SKIN

Rose water is made by distilling rose petals, which results in a very aromatic liquid rich in oils and all the beneficial essence of petals.

As a skin soother, rose water acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. That means for you:
    – Hydrates your skin
    – Reduces excessive skin redness (that could be from broken capillaries)
    – Soothes dry irritated skin
    – Soothes sunburns

HUGE TIP –> Soak a cotton ball in Rose water and hold it under your eye –> Reduces the appearance of dark circles under your eyes!

    – Acts as an Astringents, which reduces the size of pores

HUGE TIP –> Use Rose water to remove excess dirt and oil from your skin, it’ll unclog your pores! While using it, regular application can calm down acne, thus making your skin tone more even and more beautiful

    • Jennifer Hiles says

I have a bunch of broken capillaries on my cheek under my eye and also around my nose. I would love to try this and see if it helps. For years, I’ve been searching for something to reduce the huge red spot on my cheek. I’ve read that a photo facial could help but that’s all I could find. Where do you buy rose water?

    • Cynthia Dubuque says

I would really love to try this! I don’t get much sleep so the cotton ball idea would probably be a good place to start.

    • Rachael Roberts says

So many amazing uses for everyone!! I plan on using it for my dark circles, reduce pores & hydrate my skin. I also want to let my daughter use it for dry irritated skin, sunburns & to help with her acne!!

    • Rebecca Swenor says

    • Raye Wiedner says

I’d definitely be interested in something to help with pores and to even out skin tone.

      • CoffeeTime says

        Raye,
We gotta run a test, a little experiment with you!
I am using it for my under eye dark circles when I get them from to much work.

    • I stopped using Astringents as they irritate my skin. I need to try rosewater… !

    • That’s cool, I need to look for products with roses in them and maybe a candle warmer tart for my candle warmer. I wouldn’t mind smelling roses all day, it does sound relaxing.

    • wendy c g says

I am going to try this, it sounds great. Where can you buy rose water?

    • Jessica Parent says

Sounds like I could use some Rose water (from sunburns to the dark circles under my eyes-I have a need to get my paws on some!)

    • Katrina A. says

I will have to try the cotton ball trick for my fiances bags. And I do use it daily but have not noticed any less redness but definitely has a wonderful soothing effect.

    • Love all the uses! #amcoffee

    • I will deff. have to give it a try not only for the stress and anxiety but now for the dark spots under my eyes from lack of sleep due to the stress. It also has to have a wonderful scent. I also love how it will unclog your pores without the harsh chemicals.

    • Carol Yemola says

I would love to try this to reduce the size of my pores on my nose and chin. Have been looking for a product to use for this problem.

    RECIPE: ALMOND-ROSE POUND CAKE

    Makes 12 to 16 slices

    – Cooking spray

    – 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces

    – ¼ cup slivered almonds

    – 1 2/3 cups granulated sugar

    – 5 large eggs

    – 2 cups all-purpose flour

    – ½ teaspoon salt

    – 1 teaspoon rose water

    – ¼ cup rose preserves or jam (see note)

    – 1 teaspoon almond extract

    – Powdered sugar for dusting

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9-inch tube pan with cooking spray and set aside.

    2. Put the pieces of butter into the large bowl of an electric mixer and set aside about 15 minutes to soften. Grind almonds finely in a food processor or blender and set aside.

    3. When butter has softened, cream with sugar on medium speed until fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir together flour and salt. Slowly add to the creamed mixture, beating until batter is smooth.

    4. Remove about a third of the batter and add rose water and jam, stirring until smooth. Stir the ground almonds and almond extract into the remaining batter. Spoon half of the almond batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Spoon all of rose batter into the pan, spreading evenly. Then top with remaining almond batter and spread until smooth.

    5. Bake cake on center oven rack 50 to 60 minutes or until it tests done. Cool cake in pan 15 minutes, then run a knife around the outside edge and also around the center tube. Invert onto a cooling rack and cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

    FACIAL ROSE MASK

ALMONDS + ROSE WATER = AMAZING SOOTHER, EXFOLIATOR, MOISTURIZER
You can store this mixtures for about 4 days in a air-tight container!

    1/2 Cup Almond pulp
(soak almonds overnight and then crush them in food processor)
2 Tbsp Honey (use bee-friendly honey, not synthetics!) –> it will act as a preservative
    1 Tbsp Rose Water

When you mix all the ingredients together, apply the mask to your face and neck for 10-15 minutes ( you can actually walk in it if you don’t want to lie down).

When you are ready to wash it off, apply a bit more all over the face to use it as a Scrub! Great Exfoliator on your finger tips indeed!

The mask gives your the following:
    – Rose water is anti-inflammatory and would calm any skin/acne inflammation
    – Raw honey is anti-bacterial
    – Almonds would exfoliate, i.e., get rid of dead cells, allowing all the amazing ensemble of the ingredients to exude their beneficial properties onto the young, new cells!
    – It’s a hydrating mask
