There are several nutrients lacking in our daily diets which are frequently overlooked due to their… easy accessibility! But not enough of one of them could lead to the state of discomfort and even development of serious medical conditions called chronic diseases like obesity as an example.
Tapping into the foods that have been created for our bodies to consume and benefit is the most precious gift from Nature. Each calorie from such food consumed goes to a good cause within your body. Why not step into the world of real wonders and start enjoying a vibrant – literally – life style beginning today?
FIBER
Yes, our precious fiber! Both Soluble and Insoluble play an important role.
Why We Need It
Soluble fiber found in beans, lentils, fruit, oats can reduce risk of stroke, Type 2 Diabetes, protect arteries.
Insoluble fiber found in vegetables, legumes, brown rice and many other foods is great for digestive functioning of your body.
IRON
Iron obtained from fish, poultry, and meat is absorbed 2-3 times more readily than from plant sources.
In addition, obsorbtion levels depend on the Food Combinations you have while eating iron-rich foods.
Why We Need It
Iron is crucial in bringing more oxygen to all of your organs and cells. And it is the essential Protein Building Block for all of our systems.
Lack of iron could lead to memory loss, muscle loss, anemia, and difficulties regulating body temperature.
VITAMIN D
It is the ONLY vitamin we can consume through foods and make ourselves! Our bodies manufacture Vitamin D in the form of a hormone when we process sunlight. Being exposed to sunlight is essential to get your Vitamin D supplies!
Why We Need It
Vitamin D regulates cell growth, protects our bones and cardiovascular system.
We can find it in tuna, orange juice
CALCIUM
So many people have calcium via supplements. Obviously, the best source is food sources.
Why We Need It
Calcium is an important nutrient that helps maintain healthy bones, assists in nerve transmission, and helps our blood clot.
Not enough of Calcium can lead to an increased risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures.
PHYTONUTRIENTS
A very critical piece of information is that only in phytonutrients found in plant sources of our food chain can truly feed and supply our bodies with an all-rounded formula of nutrients we need for healthy functioning.
Why We Need Them
We don’t need to know how it happens, even why it happens. When we consume unprocessed fruit and vegetables in their VARIETY, millions of phytonutrient chemicals in all of them work together in synergy. That synergy creates nutrition that is immediately and bio-available to all of our cells in our body. That is a truly real magic.

well all great for getting your iron I eat it all and they are all delious
I have to have ranch on raw broccoli too
I do not like dressings in 99% of all that are sold.
What I like is home-made dressings and sauces.

I do to I love it I use to work at a golf course mowed for 8 hrs a day

I shouldn’t be lacking Vitamin D between the time I sopend outside and the tuna/milk I consume but somehow am deficient
I love milk, cheese, all dairy products and green veggies, but I also supplement my diet with Vitamin D & Calcium vitamins.
Tuna I can do.

Dd LOVES raspberries! She takes them in her lunch! We love pears too. Black beans and sweet potatoes not so much! 🙂
We don’t eat black beans either..its hard enough getting my husband to eat any at all. I do like sweet potatoes but for same reason I don’t buy them to aften. .probably no one else in the house eats them
i love all this but respberries they just dont taste right to me but all the others ill touch 🙂
Im not a big fan of raspberries either..but I love raspberry flavored stuff

that’s good Susan they are good for us
I just got to go shopping yesterday for strawberries and I picked up 2 avocados Never tried avocado before going to day.
You should look yup a recipe for avacado butter it is really good with steak.i cant eat avacodo by its self but it is good on a burger

I love berries.
My husband is so picky and won’t eat a lot of bean, peppers, onions and strawberries. .I do like black beans and rice..but I dont make it cuz no one else in the house will eat it.

my mom made pickle carrots oh man where they good
Oh yeah..those berries would be yummy in a smoothie
Both pics have all our favorites!! We are trying our hands at growing tomatoes, carrots, onions and strawberries. I don’t think the carrots and onions are gonna make it though! 🙁
What are those berries on the stem?..they look good
Ill touch everything bu t the raspberries and black berries 😀 everything else makes my tummy growl 😀 imma get some strawberries now!
I have been wanting some strawberries. .me and the kids ate the last bunch with chocolate fondue. .yum..went to walmart last week and got excited bc they were 2 for 3$. But they didnt look good at all so I didnt get any. .so ready for the farmers market

Okay that I will do. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
all of my favorites in those pictures weather raw or cooked! l and a great spinal salad with all the toppings! mmmm
Yummy, I’m getting hungry.
I’ve tried growing a garden. But it gets so dry and hot here. It’s hard to grow anything. I go to our local sprouts and buy veggies and fruits every week.
Spending memorial day with my husand who is an Air Force veteran
We have 5 apple trees in the yard and a grape vine. And neighbors give us berries and peaches, Plus everything we grow in the garden.
Hi everyone & Good Morning to all~The most significant event this week in my life, would be my oldest daughter went to court and hopefully a big problem in her life will soon be resolved…..I’ve been really stressed out over this, so hopefully some of this stress will soon be gone. #AMCoffee =)
I get all this its in our garden every year we live off our land and we put it away for winter
Karen,
Your living reminds me of my grandmothers’, both of them.
All summer long we used to grow and gather fruit, berries, vegetables galore and make different preserves.
Oh, my, how I miss them! I never made a single preserve in my life, though I’ve lived off them, and my grandmas and mom and sis made them.
I guess I am a “black sheep” who chose a different way of getting them!
Sounds liked my dream place
Before I get completely over whelmed I rub my two hands together and lift them up. Than I say I hand over to you. In the end it always works out. I learned this from my Grandmother who was 100% Italian. 🙂 Hope it work out for you daughter Susan. 🙂
Well, I use & ate six of the veggies in the veggie photo above, just this week, so think I’m ok there.
Happy Memorial Day, be safe. Thank you to all those who have served and are currently serving.
You too wendy
