However, in every situation there are exceptions. Life is full of them, isn’t it? There are certain types of fat that are good for you and contribute to digestion of some fat-soluble vitamins like A, D and K.

The key is to focus on foods that have MONO-UN-SATURATED and POLY-UN-SATURATED fats. Eliminate all TRANS and SATURATED fats from your diet!

Good Morning ladies. Yes, I eat way too many fatty foods. Ice cream is my downfall. I’m getting better though. These conversations really help.

    • Rebecca Swenor says

Good morning all. I would say my favorite fatty food is pork. I hardly eat pork anymore so when I do it is a treat. I am tempted by the commercial I seen this morning about the Apple wood pulled pork sub at Subway. At least I get no mayo or dressing on my subs. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good morning we eat a lot of pizza and I love my sweets

    • Raye Wiedner says

Good afternoon everyone! I try to keep a good balance of fats in our diet. I love the good fats in avocados, nuts, and olives. I don’t fry many foods, and when I do, I use olive oil.

    • Katrina A. says

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have a horrible diet right now. It just habit and laziness. I am really trying to jump start my own personal eating habits. My son eats so healthy it’s ridiculous. I just need to eat what I make him eat.

    AVOCADOS

Translated as “butter pears”, avocados are some of the most fat-filled foods. However, MONO-UN-SATURATED fats that are inside this fruit are Heart healthy!

One medium avocado boasts of about 30 grams of fat. Eating it with salsa and salads is something we should attempt doing. Moderation is good for everything and at all times. But we gotta make time and effort for foods that bring us delicious flavors and health.

    EGGS

Many people opt out to go with the egg whites, avoiding a healthier option –> a whole egg. Obviously you gotta be reasonable how many eggs you consume per day. But having an egg a day or two is OK to get the amazing benefits and add to the Wholesome diet we are arranging for ourselves.

Look at some benefits of an Egg!

    – One whole egg contains 5 grams of fat, but only 1.5 grams are saturated.

    – Whole eggs are also a good source of choline (one egg yolk has about 300 micrograms of choline), an important B vitamin that helps regulate the brain, nervous system and cardiovascular system.

    – And while there’s a lot of buzz about the cholesterol in eggs, research has linked moderate egg consumption to improved heart health.

    • Katrina A. says

We love love love eggs. I wish they weren’t so messed with here in the US. I prefer a fresh farm egg with a nice deep yellow yolk. Hard boiled, over medium, scrambled with corn tortillas, omelettes…..so many yummy ways to eat them.

    NUTS & NUT BUTTER

A small handful of healthy nuts a day could be a game changer how you feel and how your entire systems are functioning.

Your most healthiest nut options are: Almonds, Walnuts and Pistachios.

    – Almonds are riches in Vitamin E
    – Walnuts are rich in plant-based Omega-3 fatty acid –> think heart, cardiovascular systems, eyes
-Pistachios are rich in Lutein and Zeaxantin –> think eye health!

When it comes to comparing different nuts in fat content, Pistacios are the healthiest. But do remember to include a variety to get the most benefit for your health.

Pistachios: you get 49 pieces per serving in 1 oz compared to 23 almonds adn 14 walnut halves.

    NUT Butter
When you make your own butter, it is the best way to go. Whole Foods has the machines that would make Any nut butter while you’re standing there! Go for it and indulge yourself in a spoonful a day!

    OLIVE OIL

Mediterranean diet has olive oil as one of the staples and is considered one of the heart-healthy diets on the planet.

Olive oil in moderation is one of the great sources of oils for cooking: fresh salads and cooking.

A study published in Neurology found that using olive as mentioned above may cut stroke risk.

Opt for Organic options and Extra Virgin options to get the most benefit.

To Lose Weight โ€“ Express Your Sensual Self

Please comment there on the post your thoughts and ideas! Thank you!

    smell roses

    • wendy c g says

Wow this article is an eye opener. We are so consumed with daily life we forget to enjoy the simple pleasures. Thanks for reminding us.

    • Rebecca Swenor says

I have never though of it that way the article is but it makes so much sense in anything you want to change for yourself. Thanks for sharing that. New way of thinking. Can even use that for lessening stress by how you think. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Raye Wiedner says

I was the too busy person for years, losing myself in the process. I was given a book as a gift and it changed everything for me. I not only got back to my ‘sensual’ self, being aware of all my senses, I learned to count my blessings more and appreciate things around me. I didn’t need to lose weight, but I definitely needed to be more aware of my health- both mental and physical.

    • Katrina A. says

I absolutely love this, One of the best things I’ve read about self and losing weight. Struck a cord with me more. I really connected with YOUR WEIGHT AND YOUR SENSUALITY ARE CONNECTED. It really is. I started gaining weight and loosing happiness (in a sense) when I got sick, had surgery, lost my job…..just lost myself completely. Today I wasn’t feeling “good” but forced myself to take a relaxing shower, breath in the steam, enjoy the scent of my body wash, feel the warmth of the water on my back. And you know what? I had a good day. I got more things done, felt accomplished, thought more about tomorrow and was not just stuck in my usual depression of the day. This was meant for me to read today.

  9. wendy c g says

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I’m off to do my treadmill.

  10. kaen hinkle says

@Wendy enjoy you day you all have a super day me to off to get in a work out
